Jay Jones is an American attorney and Democratic politician serving as Virginia's attorney general since January 2026. He represented Norfolk in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2018 to 2022 and previously worked in the District of Columbia attorney general's consumer protection office. Jones earned a bachelor's degree at the College of William and Mary and a law degree at the University of Virginia.
