Terms and conditions
Terms for using The Dispute Index website and the terms of The Dispute Index text message updates.
Using the site
The Dispute Index publishes sourced records of public disputes. You may read, share and cite the site for personal, educational and journalistic purposes. Please do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, or scrape it in ways that degrade it for others. Published records describe what identified sources said or did; they are not legal advice. We correct errors as described on the Corrections page.
The Dispute Index text message updates
The Dispute Index text message program sends updates about the cases and topics you choose to follow, such as notice of a material change to a case or a new case in a topic. We do not send promotional messages. By giving us your mobile number and agreeing to receive text messages, you consent to receive these updates from The Dispute Index. Consent is not a condition of using the site or of any purchase.
You will receive up to 4 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply.
For help, reply HELP or contact us at [email protected]. To stop receiving messages, reply STOP at any time. After you reply STOP we send one confirmation message and no further messages unless you opt in again.
See our Privacy policy for how we handle your mobile number and other personal information. SMS opt-in data and personal information are not sold or shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and device, and we cannot guarantee that every message will arrive on time or at all.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post the revised terms here and change the effective date above.
