Ryan Goodman is the Anne and Joel Ehrenkranz Professor of Law at New York University School of Law and a faculty director of its Reiss Center on Law and Security. He is the founding co-editor-in-chief of the national security forum Just Security and served as special counsel to the general counsel of the Department of Defense from 2015 to 2016.

Why we used this label

Relative to the strike campaign that includes the September 19 strike and its legal basis, Goodman endorses Saul's conclusion that the attacks constituted crimes against humanity of murder, which is an express condemnation of the conduct.
