Doug Jones is an American attorney and Democratic politician. He served as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama from 1997 to 2001 and as a U.S. Senator from Alabama from 2018 to 2021, and is the Democratic nominee for governor of Alabama in the 2026 election.
