Read the full background
On Oct. 26, 2026, the Democratic members of the House Judiciary Committee, led by Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, released a 52-page staff report on President Trump's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. The report says a growing body of evidence shows that Trump was an active participant in Epstein's sexual abuse of young women in the mid-to-late 1990s, and that Trump and Paolo Zampolli, until recently a senior administration official, may have been co-conspirators in Epstein's trafficking conspiracy. It sets out accounts involving 11 women, five of whom have accused Trump of rape or sexual assault in Epstein's company or presence, says the Justice Department obstructed investigations and withheld records, and calls for an independent special counsel.
Most of the accounts had been public before. The new one comes from Beatrice Keul, a Swiss model who competed in the Donald J. Trump American Dream Pageant at the Plaza Hotel in New York in November 1993. Based on several weeks of discussions between committee staff and Keul, the report says Trump forcibly raped her in a hotel suite during the pageant. The report notes that Keul had previously said publicly that she talked Trump down when he attempted to rape her. Days before the 2024 election, she told the Daily Mail that he groped her. Keul told Newsweek on Oct. 28 that she had received threats and that outlets had earlier sought a softer version of her account.
White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis said none of the allegations are true and called the report a desperate attempt by Democrats to distract voters from Republican momentum. A Justice Department spokesperson called the report an effort to mislead the public and said the department complied with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Trump has denied any wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.
On Nov. 2, Popular Information reported that 20 of the 25 major news outlets it reviewed had published no substantive news reporting on Keul's allegation. We could not independently verify the allegations in the report.
