Statement summary

Emma Vigeland says the action against Rep. Ilhan Omar is not an investigation but a racist, lawless vendetta, and that Democrats who legitimize it are complicit in an effort to denaturalize her.

“Any Democrat using language that legitimizes Trump's persecution of Rep. Omar is complicit in his effort to denaturalize an elected official and silence her criticisms of him. It's not an "investigation." It's a racist, lawless vendetta against a Black, Muslim, immigrant woman.”

Emma Vigeland says Darializa Avila Chevalier was shoved to the ground by Jessica Tisch's NYPD while protesting and calls it infuriating and unacceptable.

“Future Congresswoman Darializa Avila Chevalier was just shoved to the ground by Jessica Tisch's NYPD while fighting for New Yorkers. Infuriating and unacceptable. The ICE activity in her district doesn't feel like a coincidence, either. She is in the fascists' crosshairs.”

Statement summary

On The Majority Report, Emma Vigeland says Angie Nixon is not getting the support she should from national Democrats and accuses establishment Democrats of abandoning left-wing candidates or subverting their campaigns to appeal to donors.

“Angie Nixon is not getting the requisite support from the National Democrats that she should. And so, like, even in the general elections, these freaks, these like loser Democrats are either abandoning candidates that are on the left or trying to subvert the most effective parts of their campaign in order to appeal to a donor base.”

Statement summary

Emma Vigeland says there is endless footage of the killings of Alex Pretti and Renée Good and no justice for them, and calls for abolishing ICE rather than relying on body cameras.

“There is endless footage of Pretti and Good’s killings and there’s been no justice. Body cameras are mass surveillance tools for Palantir facial scanning software, and ICE turns them off when convenient. There’s no shortcut — there must be abolition.”

Statement summary

Emma Vigeland warns that Gov. Greg Abbott may welcome a federal deployment of ICE to Texas polling stations to intimidate Latino voters in November.

“Texas Democrats better be prepared for Abbott to welcome Trump and Stephen Miller's deployment of ICE Gestapo to polling stations to intimidate Latino Texans in November. They have already test-run this tactic, and they will have a fervent voter suppression ally in the governor.”

Statement summary

Emma Vigeland says U.S. policy toward Cuba under Trump and Rubio is not an embargo but a siege that starves people over decades-old humiliations, with what she calls no discernible foreign policy objective other than sadism.

“This is not an embargo. The US has had an embargo on Cuba for over 60 years, and it has failed. Trump and Rubio are overseeing a siege on Cuba, starving people over decades-old humiliations to US intel and capital, with no discernible foreign policy objective other than sadism.”
