Emma Vigeland backs the horse-carriage phaseout and calls abolition past due

Emma VigelandCo-host of The Majority Report, on her X account

Emma Vigeland supports the Mamdani and Menin deal to end New York City's horse-carriage industry, saying the carriages are cruel and abolition is past due, while calling for a soft landing for drivers.

“I know Mamdani is bucking the union here, and there should be efforts to give these drivers a soft landing, but these carriages are unfathomably cruel (many horses have died!) and its abolition is past due.”
