Says she must trust decision-makers on the war while feeling its costs
Rosemary PinoRepublican nominee for U.S. House, New Jersey's 9th district; Clifton city councilwoman
In an NJ Spotlight News voter guide survey, Rosie Pino said her view on the war in Iran is based on the same information the public has, that without a security clearance she has to trust that the people responsible are making the best decisions for the security of the nation, and that she feels its effects in higher gas prices and food costs.
“My view on the war in Iran is based on the same information you have. Obviously, I do not yet have my security clearance. I have to trust that the people responsible are making the best decisions for the security of our nation. I do feel the effects of it like everyone else does though. Higher gas prices and food costs.”

“I support an effort to stop attacks on Americans by Iran and its’ proxies, restore peace in the Middle East and the restoration of prosperity to Iranian people. How we get there is the something that must be addressed. I am not in favor of boots on the ground at this time, but to make a final judgement without understanding capabilities, ally support and course of action would be premature.”Read statement

Shimon Blau says he opposes the Iran war and supports the War Powers Resolution
“I oppose the war in Iran because military action without clear objectives or congressional authorization risks American lives, destabilizes the region, and could draw us into another prolonged conflict. I support the War Powers Resolution to reaffirm Congress’s constitutional authority over decisions to take our nation to war.”Read statement
