Statement summary

ActBlue president and CEO Regina Wallace-Jones said racist and misogynistic attacks are not political debate but attempts to make public service unbearable for Black women, and that ActBlue rejects efforts to demean them or drive them from public life.

“Racist and misogynistic attacks are not political debate—they are attempts to make public service unbearable for Black women and to warn others away from leadership. Our democracy is stronger because Black women lead, organize, govern, and refuse to be silenced. At ActBlue, we stand unequivocally with these leaders and reject every effort to demean them, delegitimize their authority, or drive them from public life.”

Why we used this label

The case's reference point is Laura Loomer's remarks about Angie Nixon and other Black women in politics. Wallace-Jones describes racist and misogynistic attacks as attempts to make public service unbearable for Black women and says ActBlue rejects every effort to demean them or drive them from public life, so we labeled it Condemned.
