Mark Ruffalo linked Oracle’s assistance to the Israeli military and Larry Ellison’s Paramount–Warner bid to Gaza, surveillance, media concentration, and oligarchic power. Paramount and Jewish groups cited antisemitic tropes; Ruffalo’s defenders said he targeted executives and corporate conduct, not Jews.

“Rob Bilott [portrayed by Ruffalo in Dark Waters] investigated first and condemned second; Ruffalo and the people who signed this letter appear to have done the reverse.”
The essay expressly criticizes Ruffalo’s inference and the defending letter’s reasoning. Acknowledging legitimate concerns about corporate power does not qualify that criticism. The label applies to these claims, not to Ruffalo’s character or a finding that he is antisemitic.
