On June 23, 2026, the Senate agreed to H.Con.Res. 86, 50-48, during a 60-day U.S.-Iran ceasefire. It was the first Iran war powers resolution to pass both chambers; as a concurrent resolution it was nonbinding and was not presented to the President.
