Statement summary

Poland's defense minister says the Lviv Oblast Council's decision to make 2027 the year of the UPA and Shukhevych is unacceptable and strengthens divisions instead of building trust, and that Ukraine's authorities must cut themselves off from that position.

“The Lviv Oblast Council's decision to make 2027 the year of the UPA and Shukhevych is unacceptable. Such a decision does not build mutual trust between nations but strengthens divisions. The Ukrainian authorities must dissociate themselves from this position. (Translated from Polish.
