Why we used this label

The reference point is the Pentagon's public accounting of U.S. deaths in the Iran war, here the July removal of four soldiers from the Operation Epic Fury count before they reappeared under a new category. Garcia says the Pentagon appears to be lying about the casualties of fallen soldiers and that the public deserves the truth about every life lost. That is an express criticism of the accounting, which fits Condemned. The closest competing label is Challenged the characterization, but Garcia goes beyond disputing a description by saying the Pentagon appears to be lying about the casualties.
