In September 2025 Heather Cox Richardson wrote that Tyler Robinson, charged in Charlie Kirk's killing, appeared to admire Groypers and to have embraced the far right. A later charging document attributed to his mother a leftward political shift and did not establish Groyper ties. Nate Silver criticized her characterization and lack of correction. Richardson said her posts were contemporary snapshots and defended her use of 'appears.' Robinson's political beliefs and alleged motive should not be treated as finally adjudicated.
