Steinberg began, “Tom Homan said that you’re under criminal investigation for immigration and marriage fraud. Any comment on that?” Omar said “No, I don’t have a comment for that.” Steinberg asked whether she thinks she “should be above the law”; Omar said “I am not above the law.” Steinberg then asked, “can you just tell us straight up, did you marry your brother?”
After the quotation
Steinberg asked “Why are you being criminally investigated?” and, after Omar’s first “I am not,” said “Yes, you are.” After Omar’s second “I am not,” she asked, “Well, then Tom Homan’s a liar or what?” LindellTV’s post does not say where the exchange took place. On September 18 Fox News Digital reported Omar saying that DHS had not contacted her.
