Maggie Hassan seeks a Senate resolution against public funding for the ads. She says Trump can fund his own political messages but should not charge taxpayers.

The Congressional Record contains Schumer's criticism and the full exchange in which Hassan seeks unanimous consent and Lummis objects.
The conduct under scrutiny is federal funding for Trump-promoting ads. Hassan explicitly opposes taxpayer payment and calls for the spots to stop.
