Gianni Infantino is a Swiss-Italian lawyer and soccer administrator who has been president of FIFA since February 2016. He worked at UEFA from 2000 until his election and was its general secretary from 2009 to 2016. He was born in Brig, Switzerland, in 1970.
UEFA is asking U.S. courts for FIFA documents to support a planned Swiss criminal complaint accusing Gianni Infantino of mismanagement over his abandoned World Cup sell-off plan. FIFA's lawyers say the requests are made in bad faith to harass him.
