Daniel H. Weiner
Role at the time: Partner at Hughes Hubbard & Reed and lawyer for Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, in an email to The Associated Press
Response to this claim
Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn knowingly facilitated and concealed Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking, including by arranging payments to survivors and handling the finances of companies tied to his Zorro Ranch in New Mexico.
“Not a single woman has ever accused Mr. Indyke or Mr. Kahn of committing sexual abuse or witnessing sexual abuse, nor claimed at any time that she or anyone else reported to them any allegation of Mr. Epstein's abuse”
Associated Press report on the lawsuit, carried in full by KSAT in San Antonio. It quotes Attorney General Raúl Torrez at his news conference, an email statement from Daniel Weiner, the lawyer for Indyke and Kahn, and two women who say Epstein abused them. It also reports that the Justice Department declined to comment on any federal investigation of the two men.

The reference point is the conduct the State alleges against Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn: that they facilitated and concealed Epstein's sex trafficking and stand to profit from his estate. Weiner, their lawyer, says they reject the allegations and that no woman has accused them of abuse or of hearing about it, which denies the allegations.
