Where this statement fits
Should Jasmine Crockett campaign for James Talarico after their Texas Senate primary?
Before the March 2026 Democratic Senate primary, Rep. Jasmine Crockett said she would campaign for James Talarico if he won. After her loss, she urged Democrats to support the party's nominees, and both campaigns later confirmed that she endorsed Talarico. In August, Crockett said she planned to campaign for down-ballot candidates instead of joining his Senate campaign. Rep. Ro Khanna has urged her to join Talarico on the trail. Talarico says Crockett has already helped, welcomes her support, and considers winning the Senate race his own responsibility. The dispute is whether Crockett should devote campaign time to the nominee or focus on other Democratic races.
