Murphy tells POLITICO that Democrats would make a big mistake if they slept on Florida, where Nixon is the nominee. In the same report he says he would put resources in Florida if he were in charge and that he will raise money himself because the party committees have so many demands.
“I do believe that we’d make a big mistake if we slept on Florida,” the Connecticut Democrat told POLITICO on Friday. “I know it feels like a longer shot, but I just think this year is looking exceptional.”
