Simon Goddek posts that Wilkins is a "Classic honey pot"

Simon GoddekBiotechnologist and social media commentator, on his X account

On July 7, 2025, Simon Goddek replied in the conversation under his own post about Kash Patel that Wilkins "works for an NGO that's basically Israeli intelligence" and called her a "Classic honey pot." Earlier that day he had posted a photo of Patel with the words "then I looked into who he's dating." Replying "Exactly." to a graphic that linked Wilkins to PragerU and its chief executive, Goddek attached screenshots of PragerU biography pages for Wilkins and for chief executive Marissa Streit, with the passage on Streit's service in an Israeli military intelligence unit highlighted.

Responding to

Kyle Seraphin said on his podcast on August 22, 2025 that FBI Director Kash Patel "has had his own little 'honeypot' issue" and that Patel's girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, is "a former Mossad agent in what is like the equivalent of their NSA," according to the transcript quoted in Wilkins's complaint and in the court's order denying his motion to dismiss.

“Alexis Wilkins is twenty years younger than Kash and works for an NGO that’s basically Israeli intelligence. … Classic honey pot.”

Where this statement fits

Is Alexis Wilkins a foreign 'honeypot' agent, as Kyle Seraphin and other commentators suggested?

Since early 2025, online commentators have suggested that Alexis Wilkins, the country singer engaged to FBI Director Kash Patel, is an Israeli or Mossad "honeypot" sent to compromise him. Podcaster Kyle Seraphin said on August 22, 2025 that Patel's girlfriend is "a former Mossad agent" (he did not name her; a court found the remarks referred to her), Sam Parker raised the idea through questions in a February 2025 X thread, and Elijah Schaffer posted her photo under a thread about female Mossad operatives. Wilkins says she has never been an intelligence agent and has never been to Israel, and she sued all three for defamation. A Florida court let the Schaffer suit proceed, the parties then reported a tentative agreement and jointly dismissed it with prejudice, and on September 9, 2026 Schaffer posted a retraction saying she "is not, and has never been, a foreign intelligence operative"; a Utah court dismissed the Parker suit for lack of jurisdiction; the Seraphin suit is pending after the court denied his motion to dismiss. As of October 5, 2026, we found no evidence offered by anyone that Wilkins has worked for any intelligence service, and no court has ruled at trial on the claim.

About this source

Goddek's post with a photo of Patel, published as some commentators criticized the Justice Department and FBI's July 2025 Epstein memo. Goddek posted the "Classic honey pot" reply later the same day in the conversation under this post. X showed more than 20 million views on this post as of October 5, 2026.

Before the quotation

In early July 2025 the Justice Department and FBI said in a memo that their review of the Jeffrey Epstein files found no client list, and some commentators turned on Patel. Goddek's earlier post that day, with the words "I thought he was solid at first," drew more than 20 million views.

After the quotation

On July 9, 2025, Wilkins posted that such accusations were "obviously insanely ridiculous." In her March 24, 2026 thread she said the July 2025 claim began with a post by "a supplement influencer with 1.1 million followers"; she did not name the account, but the description matches Goddek's.

How this statement is classified

Condemned

The label describes this statement's response within the context above.

Why this label?

The reference point is the proposition that Alexis Wilkins is, or was, a foreign intelligence agent, specifically an Israeli or Mossad "honeypot" in a relationship with Kash Patel to compromise him. Goddek states that Wilkins works for an organization that is "basically Israeli intelligence" and ends with the label "Classic honey pot," which asserts the proposition, so we used Condemned. Here that label records only an attributed assertion and no judgment on Goddek or Wilkins. The closest competing label is Mixed or conditional, because part of the reply is a rhetorical question about why she would date Patel. It loses because the reply closes with a flat label rather than a question. Evidence level: his own post on X.
