I have made multiple public statements against the War in Iran. The war in Iran is one of the greatest strategic blunders in recent American history. It was not approved or explained to the American People or Congress. It was not explained to the international community, nor did we enlist our usual coalition to help us achieve defined objectives. There have never been defined, achievable objectives. Finally we didn't build up the warfighting capability to account for unforeseen outcomes. The War Powers Act needs extensive revision to prevent something like this from ever happening again. It should be something radically different from what has come before.

How this statement is classified
The label describes this statement's response within the context above.
Why this label?
The case tracks support for continued U.S. military operations against Iran, including whether a candidate would vote for a war powers resolution to remove U.S. forces from hostilities. Duresky calls the war a strategic blunder that was not approved by Congress and lacks defined objectives, which rejects continuing the operation, so we labeled it Condemned. He calls for revising the War Powers Act rather than saying how he would vote on a war powers resolution.
