Jennifer Jenkins
Role at the time: Democratic candidate for U.S. House, Florida's 8th district
Statement summary
In an X post, Jennifer Jenkins criticized Mike Haridopolos for opposing removal of U.S. forces from Iran and linked that criticism to a Senate war powers vote.
“@MikeHaridopolos voted against the removal from Iran and his Republican colleagues in the Senate agreed.”
Jenkins quoted a C-SPAN post reporting the Senate's defeat of an Iran war powers resolution. Her reference to Haridopolos concerned his position as a House member; she separately referred to Republican senators. This record captures her criticism and does not independently establish the vote tally or his voting record.
Why we used this label
In the context of the quoted resolution to stop military action, Jenkins criticizes votes against removal of U.S. forces. She does not provide a separate pledge about a future vote.
