Response to this claim
Brendan Carr, Doug Burgum and Howard Lutnick may have violated the Hatch Act by relying on their official positions when they spoke at the October 13, 2026 campaign rally for Sen. Dan Sullivan.
“Carr’s participation in a political rally in the lead-up to the midterms is a shocking new low for his politicization of the office. He must face sanctions for this obvious Hatch Act violation.”

The reference point is whether Brendan Carr, Doug Burgum and Howard Lutnick violated the Hatch Act by relying on their official positions in their remarks at the October 13, 2026 Wasilla rally for Sen. Dan Sullivan. Weimers calls Carr's participation an obvious Hatch Act violation and says he must face sanctions, so we labeled it Condemned. No competing label fits.
