Statement summary
Harris defends the opening military operation as necessary and expects it to end quickly, but says a conflict lasting into months would require reconsideration.
“To amputate the entire leadership of Iran on that first day was pretty dramatic and pretty necessary, to be honest,”
In his WBAL interview, he praises overwhelming force and argues that earlier strikes left Iran’s ballistic missile capability intact. Asked about a conflict lasting beyond 60 days, he says they would reconsider the judgment behind a war expected to last days or weeks and reevaluate it.
