Corrections and right to reply
Review reporting corrections, classification changes, and topic-label updates.
Request a correction
Tell us about a factual error or missing context. Identify the case or statement, describe the issue, and link supporting sources. Send requests to [email protected].
Right to reply
Tell us which case or statement you are replying to and whether you are the person named or are writing on their behalf. Explain the concern and link the full source when available. Send requests to [email protected].
A disagreement alone does not change a case. A verified error receives a visible correction. A later public statement is added separately with its own date.

Correction to: Trump’s $5,000 election pledge: policy dividend or vote-buying?
- Previous language
- The case presented six claim summaries with attribution embedded in several sentences and two argument summaries that added analysis not made by the cited speakers.
- Corrected language
- The claim text now states each speaker's proposition alongside separate attribution, and both documented-position arguments are limited to reasoning found in their cited sources.
We tightened attribution so the record documents what each source says without treating a reported opinion as an independent fiscal or legal finding. We also removed editorial reasoning from two records labeled as documented positions.

Short video embedded by PBS NewsHour in its September 9 report. The quotation in this case is verified against the accompanying PBS text and Reuters reporting, not a newly produced full transcription. No exact in-video timestamp is asserted.
Contemporaneous report with embedded speech clip. Identifies adult American citizens and control of both House and Senate as the announced eligibility and election conditions; this is a proposal, not an enacted payment program.
Independent contemporaneous account of the speech, including the House-and-Senate condition, adult-citizen scope and requirement that the money be spent in the United States. Publication date is day-level; the speech occurred September 9.

Correction to: Statement by Tristan Buckmaster
- Previous language
- The published entry was missing its source, topic and target links.
- Corrected language
- Restore the saved source links (Buckmaster questions the ethics of models trained during his research period), topic (AI Research, Scientific Credit and Integrity) and target links (OpenAI). The quotation and stance classification are unchanged.
A September 10, 2026 publication audit found that this published statement's relationship fields were empty even though the reviewed research record contained the links. This correction documents restoration of those recorded links. The audit did not establish the underlying technical cause.

Later post quotes OpenAI's training chronology and raises a customer-data ethics question. This is a stronger inference than his original caveat, not proof that his work entered training.
