The English exactQuotation is a translation; Facebook's own machine translation renders the first sentence as 'I'm looking forward to the deal being finalized' and differs. The post continues with six more paragraphs: she does not buy Trump's premise of acute threats near Greenland other than U.S. political ones; the solution for Greenland right now is not more U.S. military presence but a more robust economy, welfare and security; respect for sovereignty and self-determination should be a matter of course; she is crossing fingers, is grateful for the work put into the agreement and hopes it solves many challenges. Why we used this label
The case's fixed reference point is President Trump's description, in his September 18 Truth Social post, of a not-yet-signed, unpublished U.S.-Denmark-Greenland agreement as giving the United States permanent control over security and all other needs in Greenland. Chemnitz does not address that wording; she says she looks forward to the agreement being finalized and its content being visible, and that until then she is skeptical and has little confidence in Trump, so her position waits on a text nobody outside the three governments had seen. The closest competing label is condemns, because she voices distrust of Trump and elsewhere in the post says more U.S. military presence is not the solution. That loses because she does not reject the agreement or Trump's description of it, and the same post says she is grateful for the work behind the agreement and hopes it addresses many of Greenland's challenges.
